The coziest wineries and tasting rooms in Northern VA

The coziest wineries and tasting rooms in Northern VA

I don’t know where you are in the world, but spring is closing rather quickly in the DMV.
While it’s not quite warm enough to sit outside on a consistent basis, I can at
least look at the beautiful views of the mountains and the grape vines from a
cozy tasting room.

Cozy means different things to different people of course. To me, to a cozy
winery needs a warm and inviting tasting room, a fireplace and/or pit, a lively
atmosphere and of course, great wine. Check out my picks below:

Stone Tower Winery

I love Stone Tower. It is one of my favorite wineries in NOVA, you
will probably read about Stone Tower over and over again on this site. It is
very cozy to me because it feels like home. There are multiple rooms filled
with sofas, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and tables. There is always a lively
atmosphere, especially on the weekend.

Fabbioli Cellars

Fabbioli is great for a chilly fall or spring day, as there are
multiple fire pits outside for groups. I always have an excellent wine tasting
experience as well, as the customer service is amazing. I often travel to the
vineyards solo, and I can always count on Fabbioli for great wine ad even
better service.

Hidden Brook Winery

I am obsessed with log cabins. I could watch Log Cabin living on
HGTV for hours. Well, I used to when I had cable – but I digress. Hidden Brook
has a rustic log cabin ish feel. It is surrounded by lots of tall pine trees,
as well as woodland garden. The tasting fees are very inexpensive in comparison
to tasting fees at other vineyards.

The Vineyards and Winery at Lost Creek

Lost Creek is what I consider to be a hidden gem in NOVA. I
suspect it won’t be hidden for much longer. The tasting room is extremely
intimate and cozy, with large sofas next to the fireplace. They offer brunch on Sundays, as well as small plate selections to enjoy
while sitting and sipping. The staff are very
friendly and personable and attentive as well. I highly recommend visiting
around the holidays – the tasting room is beautifully decorated.

Creeks’s Edge

If you are seeking a cozy yet upscale environment, with scenic
views of rolling hills – I highly recommend Creek’s edge. Similar to the other
wineries, they have lots of sofas and tables fit for large groups – so it has a
very warm and inviting feel. They have a large fireplace in their main tasting
room, as well as multiple firepits on their balcony, if you want to brave the
chilly weather and look at the gorgeous views of the rolling hills.
